The 7 Easiest Countries To Get A Scholarship In

Often, what you are looking for would be looking for you. In such cases, all you need is the awareness of where to connect with your desire, and you would be good to go. In this light, some countries seem more ready than others to offer you a scholarship opportunity. Here are the top 7 of them that we found:

  1. Czech Republic

To start with, you may not have known that education is 100% free in the Czech Republic. Yeah, you got it right. Besides, the country is popular for being friendly to foreigners (including international students).

To have a clearer picture of the point above, a scholarship opportunity in the country starts with a language program. Therefore, before your main college education, you would have to spend about a year in the language program. Remarkably, this is usually also covered by the scholarship offer.

With your language year over, the process for the actual college admission begins. The admission process includes an examination in the Czech language that you would have studied. Visit the Czech Ministry of Education Official Website

for more information on the language programs.

  1. Hungary

Hungary is yet another country where institutions seem all too ready to offer students scholarships. The government of Hungary itself has a scholarship program that covers everything right from the preparatory up to the postgraduate levels.

Also, apart from an allowance between 130 and 580 euros per month, the government scholarship covers accommodation expenses. If you are applying from Russia or Belarus, lucky because there are special scholarship packages for you in Hungary.

  1. Germany

For a start, do you know that, in Germany, almost all colleges are tuition-free? It is a major reason why the country is a popular destination for college admission and scholarships students.

Some of the most generous scholarship packages worldwide can be found in Germany. For example, the DAAD scholarship program – which is easily the most popular in the country – covers living expenses besides tuition. The DAAD program, however, is available only to master’s degree candidates. Of course, you need a bachelor’s degree to be qualified for a master’s degree program.

As for international students hoping to undergo an undergraduate program in Germany, they usually need to have completed at least one year of undergraduate study in their own countries. Otherwise, they would have to undergo a German college preparatory program for international students – known as Studienkolleg. Then, to apply for a scholarship, they would usually have to be in the second or third year of an undergraduate program.

  1. France

Like Germany, France is yet another country where most educational programs are tuition-free. But you need to prove that you are qualified for it.

For example, you need to write motivation and recommendation letters to apply for a state-sponsored scholarship program. Then, you would apply using your qualifying documents. The amount is fixed at 700 euros. The program covers living expenses also.

There are also scholarship opportunities available with individual colleges and non-governmental organizations. There are also grants to cover accommodation expenses for foreign students.

You need to know about scholarship opportunities in France that you are not allowed to participate in more than one program. So, in a situation where you win several scholarships, you have to choose one out of them.

  1. Italy

Unlike Czech Republic, Germany, and France, Italy does not have too many tuition-free educational programs. However, at between 1000 and 2000 euros per year, the tuition fees are generally low compared to many other countries. In addition, the accommodation fees are relatively low as well.

One unique aspect of applying for an Italian scholarship opportunity is that your success depends inversely on your income level. This is how: while applying for the scholarship opportunity, candidates are asked to provide their families’ income level. Generally, the lower your family’s income level, the higher would be your success rate with the scholarship programs.

  1. China

China offers several scholarship opportunities. But the most popular of them, the Grant of the PRC, is offered by the Government of China. It consists of a monthly Grant of between 500 and 600 USD meant to pay for the educational program and living expenses.

Nevertheless, the Grant of the PRC is only available to masters and doctoral candidates. Moreover, an ideal candidate must already possess a bachelor’s degree and not be more than 40 years of age. Also, any candidate applying for the program must pledge to respect Chinese culture.

Apart from the Grant of the PRC, another generous scholarship program available in China is provided by the Confucius Institute. This offer is specifically in the Chinese Language programs. It includes a monthly grant of between 317 and 572 USD.

There are numerous other scholarship opportunities in China. They are usually from colleges and cities across the country that provide accommodation to the candidates while subsidizing their tuition fees to the tune of 75%.

However, on the downside, you are not guaranteed an employment opportunity after your scholarship program in China. That is because of an employment policy that allows you to be employed if you have up to 2 years of job experience. So it’s either you work somewhere along the line (maybe between your Master’s and doctoral programs), or you go back to your country after the scholarship.

  1. Poland

Scholarship opportunities in Poland are mainly available to students from the Commonwealth Independent States (CIS) countries. There are several kinds of these scholarships.

For example, social scholarships are available to indigent students (a monthly grant of up to 600 zlotych). There are also academic scholarships available to students with remarkable academic performance (a monthly grant of between 350 and 800 zlotych). Again, sports scholarships are available to people with sporting talents (a monthly grant of between 300 and 550 zlotych). Then, there is an employee scholarship program worth 900 zlotych with a guarantee of a job offer afterward.

There are 3 basic requirements for applying for a scholarship in Poland. They are:

1. A certificate from your academic institution.

2. A certificate of Polish language proficiency.

3. A motivation letter.

We hope you found one of these countries as a worthy scholarship destination. If so, you need to take action now to catch up with your desire. Otherwise, you can check out other scholarship opportunities on our website.
